A three-day trail-running weekend at Ben Delatour Scout Ranch in Red Feather Lakes — new trails on private Boy Scout property and surrounding National Forest lands in Northern Colorado's high country. 'A trail running weekend put on by trail runners for trail runners.'

The course
Courses are 70–80% single-track and 20–30% dirt road, rolling through forest and meadow with views of the Mummy Range, Never Summer Range and Medicine Bow Mountains. Wildlife includes moose, elk, mule deer, black bears and mountain lions.
The 50-Mile tops out just below 11,000' between Middle and North Bald Mountains. Lower sections are more technical; the National Forest trails flow.
Courses are well marked with pink flagging and pin flags, plus flour markings and directional arrows at key intersections; confidence flagging roughly every quarter mile.

If you're not leaving an aid station by its cut-off you'll get a ride back to the finish. Sweeps leave at cut-off, taking course markings with them.

50 Mile (9): Goodell 4.8, Water-only 9.9, Baldy #1 14.3, Deadman 21.6, Baldy #2 26.0, Granite Ridge 32.4, Elkhorn 37.3, High Adventure 44.6, Finish 49.9.
50K (6): High Adventure 5.3, Elkhorn #1 12.6, Lady Moon #1 19.2, Lady Moon #2 25.9, Elkhorn #2 28.6, Finish 31.2.
Half (4): Elkhorn #1 2.6, Lady Moon 9.1, Elkhorn #2 11.7, Finish 14.3. Full-service stations stock Gnarly Fuel2O, water/ice, salty snacks, fruit, sweets and soda; GF/vegan on request.
Drop bags & crew access
Drop bags for the 50-Mile only, at Deadman (21.6) and Granite Ridge (32.4). None for 50K or Half.
Getting there & lodging
Directions
- About 1 hour from Fort Collins, 2 hours from Denver. Parking opens Thursday 4:00 pm; the Museum Lot below the start/finish is first-come. Carpool — parking is limited.
- Cell coverage is limited beyond Fort Collins — download or print directions. Crew access at Elkhorn, Granite Ridge, North Lone Pine (Deadman) and Lady Moon trailheads only.
Camping & lodging
- On-site primitive camping at Ben Delatour Scout Ranch (Thu–Sat), plus 6-plex cabins with bunks, electricity and heat.
- Modern bathrooms/showers at the Dining Hall; community dining-hall meals and an evening campfire. Limited local hotels and Airbnbs in the Red Feather Lakes area.
Good to know
- No pacers; crewing at designated aid stations only. No dogs. Trekking poles allowed (50K stow for the first 4 mi). 50-Mile runners are advised to wear orange during bow-hunting season.
- Stay on marked trail; run through mud. Purposeful littering is immediate disqualification.
- Transfer credit (valid 12 months): 100% until Apr 30, 75% to Jul 31, 50% to Sep 23. Trail Sisters Approved.
Awards
1st–3rd men's and women's in Overall, Masters (40–49) and Grandmasters (50+); non-binary top 3 overall. Finisher awards by distance; free kids 1-mile race.
