Our Story

Gnar Runners was founded in 2011 by Fort Collins trail runners Nick Clark and Pete Stevenson to host events that promote enthusiasm and passion for the sport of ultra, trail and road running in beautiful Northern Colorado settings.

We're committed to hosting top-quality races while building community through year-round training events and outdoor volunteer projects.

Beyond our own races — Quad Rock, Never Summer, Staunton Rocks!, Black Squirrel, Red Feather, Blue Sky and the Colorado 24 Hour Run — we also provide race management for the Horsetooth Half Marathon, the Fort Collins Running Club's Tortoise & Hare Series, and the Resolution Run 5K.
